The Technology:  The AIR-AD looks like a regular clothing vest, but it dramatically offloads work of breathing and reduces dynamic hyperinflation, allowing patients to increase their physical activity and stay out of the hospital.  The AIR-AD accomplishes this by virtue of the technology hidden within a clothing vest. The AIR-AD is based on a proven respiratory assist technology (cuirass ventilators), which has been tailored specifically for COPD patients.
