Princeton Identity unveils EyeAllow, a multi-modal biometric authentication device

In a significant development within the biometric security industry, Princeton Identity Inc., renowned for their state-of-the-art biometric security systems, has announced the launch of EyeAllow™. This innovative device represents a breakthrough in user authentication technology, amalgamating multiple modalities within a single, compact unit.

EyeAllow integrates various authentication methods including iris and face biometrics, RFID cards, smartcards, mobile credentials, biometrics-on cards, and PIN codes. This versatility positions it as a unique solution in the market, particularly when used in conjunction with Princeton Identity’s Identity Server and the Iris On the Move product suite.

The device is designed to cater to environments where fast and accurate identification is paramount. This includes settings such as corporate campuses, data centres, medical facilities, and financial institutions. EyeAllow’s ability to combine different authentication factors makes it compliant with stringent security protocols.

A standout feature of EyeAllow is its advanced iris recognition technology. This patented system is capable of differentiating between millions of unique users. Its efficacy is already proven in high-profile installations, such as passenger screening at Dubai International Airport.

Ease of installation is another hallmark of EyeAllow, thanks to its Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) interface, which allows both power and communication over a single connection. The device is also user-friendly; it can recognise individuals wearing masks or glasses and operates hands-free, courtesy of a built-in proximity sensor. With a capacity to store up to 6000 user profiles and at-rest data encryption, EyeAllow ensures continued authentication even during network outages.

Bobby Varma, CEO and Co-Founder of Princeton Identity, emphasised EyeAllow’s versatility and affordability, making it accessible beyond high-security settings. He noted that EyeAllow’s multi-modal biometric and multifactor authentication make it suitable for a variety of environments where convenience and flexibility are valued.

Adding to its appeal, EyeAllow will be available under Princeton Identity’s Solution-as-a-Service (SaaS) pricing model. This approach eliminates the need for upfront purchases, with monthly licensing fees covering product support, warranty, and maintenance.

Varma also highlighted customer preference for SaaS solutions, citing their ease of management, lower total cost of ownership, and risk mitigation as key advantages.

In summary, EyeAllow is poised to redefine the standards of biometric and multifactor authentication, offering a versatile, secure, and user-friendly solution that caters to a wide range of applications.
